THE PROPERTY:

This property is part of a Victorian School conversion in London in a gated community, originally developed into a very modern 5-storey, 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom property. The kitchen was located in a windowless basement, with only a first-floor atrium providing limited daylight.

OUR CLIENT:

Whilst appreciating some contemporary styles, desired a more modern rustic aesthetic to reflect his personal taste. Additionally, he wanted to expand the property to 5 bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, to accommodate his family's needs.

We undertook spatial planning, created new floor plans to accommodate all bedrooms & bathrooms together with new lighting plans and designed and collaborated on all the bespoke furniture. 

OUR VISION:

Our vision was to combine the warmth and charm of rustic elements with modern aesthetics, creating an elegant and timeless design, that our client would love and enjoy living in.
We used natural materials such as wood, jute, linen and natural stones and chose an earthy colour palette for a calm and inviting atmosphere.
The gas fireplace was replaced with a wood burner and the atrium was closed up to create a large banquette seating and dining area.

Recognising our client's passion for cooking and the importance of a kitchen, we strongly recommended relocating the kitchen from the basement to the ground floor. This would allow him to enjoy natural daylight while preparing meals. We proposed transforming the basement into a cosy movie room, perfect for evening relaxation.

The original 1930s 2 storey, 3 bed home was demolished to create a contemporary home. 

The scope was to create a 3 storey, 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom home, with cinema room and a large open living space overlooking the garden and pool. 

The clients asked us to rework the floor and lighting plans and collaborate with the Building Contractor. 

They wanted a limited palette of colours with ample storage being a main factor. We managed the internal fixtures, fittings and finishing budget.

A five bedroom family home in Hove. Designing the bespoke walnut and marble feature wall, choosing the colour palette, selecting and purchasing the furniture, fittings and accessories. Sourcing materials and the trades team, project managing end to end.

Kitchen

This was originally a 1930s chalet bungalow with 3 bedrooms and 3 reception rooms.  

The clients wanted the front reimagined, taking notes from New Hampton Cape Cod with a nod to Brighton Montpelier style curved-glazed lead canopy. 

The home was mostly demolished and rebuilt. The ground floor had high ceilings but they wanted that reflected in the first floor as well so it has vaulted ceilings up to 4m tall. 

The overall style is eclectic reflecting the owners style!

The views from this flat are to die for! The windows are like living paintings with views of the sea and sky. Every time we walked in they were different colours and the sunset glow reflected in the room in late afternoon....Anyway safe to say that we loved it! We wanted to keep the rooms simple so the views were the selling point. Most rooms had the key furniture needed, so we had to dress it with new soft furnishings and accessories to bring out the gorgeous regency feel.
